Balderhead Reservoir

Balderhead contains a very good population of wild browns.  Light tackle and small flies are all that is required along with a very mobile cast and walk approach.

Directions: From Bishop Auckland take the A688 to Barnard Castle, then the B6277 until you enter Romaldkirk. Turn left onto an unclassified road to Hunderthwaite, continue approximately four miles up this road and you will see the entrance to Balderhead on your left.
