Set within the stunning High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bewl Water is the largest stillwater in the south with a surface area of 770 acres and 17 miles of bank.

Expanses of open water appeal to loch-style flyfishers while numerous sheltered creeks and bays offer peace and tranquility to both boat and bank anglers. 50,000 fish are stocked annually including our home-reared rainbows which grow quickly into bright, quality fish with legendary fighting fitness, and these are supplemented with superb browns.

Average fish size is usually over 2lbs with many 4lb-plus fish coming out each season. Fishrery records stand at 18lbs 10ozs for rainbow and 14lbs 10ozs for brown trout.

Facilities include a fleet of 54 well-maintained boats, a Wheelyboat, tackle shop, tackle hire, advice, instruction, corporate days and catering. Permits are available from £13 and boat hire from £20.
