Carsington Water

Fly fishing at its best! Carsington Water is a stunning trout fishery situated in the heart of the stunning Derbyshire countryside. Its natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, crystal clear waters and stunning fish combine to make Carsington Water addictive to anglers.

Its gin clear waters are stocked with fish up to 5lb and both Brown and Rainbow trout are stocked weekly throughout the season. The 2007 fishing season runs from Sat March 24th to Sun 21st October.

Bank Fishing

Carsington has 2 miles of bank fishing divided into two main areas; Millfields and Sheepwash. Millfields bank provides one and a half miles of bank angling in large fields and smaller clearings. Sheepwash bank provides a further half a mile of fishing. Parking is available at both Millfields and Sheepwash.

Boat fishing

Carsington has 18 boats available for hire, 14 of which are equipped with petrol outboards. All boats are supplied with oars and anchor.  Full day, Half day and Evening* boats can be booked. It is recommended to book your boat in advance to avoid disappointment.

We are open from 8.30 until dusk during the fishing season.
