Tenterden Trout Waters

Tenterden Trout Waters was established in 1975 and was one of the first Stillwater Fisheries in South East England and is still owned by the same family.  The fishery enjoys an excellent reputation with discerning fly fishermen. The 3 lakes cover a total of 5 acres of water and are regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout ranging in size from 2lbs to 12lbs.

Each lake has large retainer baskets placed around the banks in which anglers can put their fish. They then select their limit at the end of the fishing session. All other fish are carefully returned to the lake. There is a maximum of 10 fish that can be caught per permit. Alternatively, anglers can return fish directly to the water. In this way a successful ‘catch and release’ system has been developed.

Day and half day permits are available. Tackle hire and tuition are available.  For further information please see our website.
